The Connecticut Air & Space Center is going through some much needed changes. New board, new ideas, and new faces. Drew King came up to the CASC a couple of weeks ago, and it seems he just cant get enough of the place. His own blog on the process of the Corsair and the Museum can be found here:

Some new projects, campaigns, and events are planned for the future. Here are some of the latest from the museum:

-Display Booth for Corsairs Over Connecticut (Planning still in progress)
-Save the Hangars Campaign (In Beginning Brainstorming/Planning session)
-Corsair Restoration (Overall plan being formulated for future project)
-Talk about an Open House/Flea Market in June is in the air

More always on the way...

Corsairs over Connecticut II -They're Back!

Memorial Day Weekend - May 29-30
Wings and Wheels - Corsairs over CT
Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the F4U Corsair– Connecticut’s State Aircraft.
- More than 30 Vintage and Military Aircraft including four F4U Corsairs
- Vintage trucks from The Golden Age of Trucking Museum
- Priceless antique autos restored by internationally renowned Black Horse Garage

Yes, it's official. The Nutmeg state will host more than just a flyin or pancake breakfast this year. Though that's not to say it will technically be an airshow. Wings & Wheels Corsairs over Connecticut will be a show that will host vintage Warbirds, Cars, Reenactors,  Displays, Museums, and much more for only one May weekend. The show will have flybys and aerial demonstrations, but technically cant be called an airshow since the show will not be wavered for aerobatic stunts. Even still, the show is in the final stages of being setup for May 29 to 31st and keeps getting bigger and better.

More updates will be coming along so stayed tuned...
